Episode 39:
So...Kimblee just kinda got on the train wearing a mask, and nobody noticed or cared?
Ooh, I like the music they're using in Martel's flashback, which I also recognize from the very end of ep 37. Actually, I like all the music on this show.
Hee. Disguised!Ed looks like Wrath. Aww, I miss Wrath.
Tucker is still creepy. At least he hasn't taken off his trenchcoat in awhile.
Episode 40:
Turning people into bombs? NOT COOL.
Okay, so in this sub Kimblee says Al and Martel are hardly living beings. I don't know what he's saying in Japanese, but I'd think that that's exactly what they are. Human, sure, that's debatable. But seriously, how are they (especially Martel) not living beings?
So Scar's brother revived Lust. Even I had that figured out, which means this episode is just be confirming it. But that doesn't explain Lujon. Unless Lujon is actually Scar's brother, which is probably possible somehow but doesn't seem right. And now you people are smiling knowingly because you know how this ends and I don't. (...oh, and there's the ironic lost body part.)
Hey, it's the origins of Scar's scar. So I'm wondering--alchemy can do some pretty super speshul stuff, but it seemed strange that the face-explodey thing went down to his eyelids, but then instead of stopping (since it had reached the edge of his skin) it just kinda crossed over onto his cheeks. What's up with that?
Aww, Scar and his brother parallel Ed and Al. So cute!
Oh, so that explains the Scar/Lust stories I see sometimes!
GODDAMMIT. Was the entire purpose of episode 37 to make me adore the military characters? It totally was. I know it. I fucking hate this show.
Hey, a Mysterious Baby! Woot! No story is complete without one.
Hahaha I was totally spoiled for the Fuhrer being a homunculus and I didn't even realize it. Sometimes my cluelessness is beneficial.
Maybe this isn't the right reaction to Martel's death, but I realized at this point just how much I admire the mangaka (presumably) for coming up with clever, disturbing ways of killing people in a clever, disturbing fashion. Come to think of it, that's also one reason I admire Yami no Matsuei's mangaka. What is wrong with me?
Episode 41:
Ah, the Mysterious Baby is Useful.
Dammit, Kimblee. Why won't you die?
AL!!!!!
ED!!!!!
Okay, then, off to watch 42-45.
