I like icons.

logicbuttonSo here are a few new-ish ones made from FMA screencaps. I figure I should do something with them at least, since I don't have a paid account at the moment and don't comment enough on JournalFen to give my ten icons there the love they deserve. Anyway.
The last icon I made on my old computer before it died, aww. It doesn't really look like her, but damned if it wasn't fun to make. Softglow + wind filter = OTP.
This isn't something I see in fanfic so much as in the fandom in general (most notably, a couple people on![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
fma_yuri...uh, not that I ever go there), and it has really gotten on my nerves, as much as anything in fandom can be said to get on my nerves, anyway. Just what do these people consider "butch"? So it seemed that one of those nifty characterization icons might be in order.
I finally learned how to time animation in my image editor, hurrah. Also, I have better screencapping capability now than on the old computer. Unfortunately, this icon will not get under 40Kb, which is why I made...
...this one. It doesn't have that spiffy element of surprise, but that's okay.
Kinda half-assed, especially in the base image (fear my madd colorifying skillz!), but something needed to be done about it. I can not watch that scene in episode 43 with Armstrong's "I made hollow rocks, using alchemy," and Roy's "And by heating the air within them, I set them on fire," without automatically adding in my head, "together, they fight crime!"
...Okay, so maybe I'm the only one who thinks that or finds it funny. But I feel a lot better now that I've made the icon. Incidentally, the tiny barely-readable text that proves that I don't have to have skill to do pretentious things with my icons says "He makes hollow rocks using alchemy." and "He heats the air within them and sets them on fire."
