logicbuttonI forgot to mention earlier that today's Fred Basset(!) wins at meta.
Anyway. I was just cleaning out my junk mail folder and noticed an e-mail from IES (which had also been sent to my school e-mail--apparently the ASC spam blocker had valiantly defended my account against it) that was written entirely in German and contained as an attachment an orientation schedule, also written entirely in German. The good news is, I understood both the e-mail and the schedule just fine without having to look up any words. The bad news is, OMG I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THE PLACEMENT TEST AND WE HAVE TO TAKE IT RIGHT AWAY AS SOON AS WE GET THERE AND CRAP I DON'T KNOW GERMAN THESE LAST OMG EIGHT AND A HALF YEARS HAVE BEEN A LIIIIIIIEEEEEEE IT'S NOT LIKE I DIDN'T LEARN ANYTHING BUT DUDE SERIOUSLY MY SPEAKING FLUENCY IS SHIT WELL OKAY MY ACCENT ISN'T BAD BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING IF I CAN'T EVEN MAKE MYSELF TALK
