In a glorious, creamy compromise, Cheesecake was crowned the victor of the Cake vs. Pie Championship at 3:30 p.m. EDT today. Time permitting, its light, tangy scent will soon permeate the air of this apartment, this recipe attesting to the secret of its triumph. But truly the victory belongs to Team Dessert, whose loyalties only to delicious, sugary sweets serve as a reminder that no matter which food gets the most votes, everybody wins.
