Firefly reaction post, part I

Remember how, back in January, I read all of Death Note in a weekend? Well, I didn't actually watch all of Firefly today. Just the first ten episodes.

Still loving the music.

Kind of wondering how Simon has not yet had his face broken, despite getting hit pretty hard an average of at least once an episode.

I notice the characters all seem to be well-versed in internet catchphrases, as they keep using them. Strangely, they only say each one once, and the others never seem to catch the reference.

Wash isn't really Hughes. Hughes is Hughes is love, but Wash is more like a concentration of Hughes' less irritating qualities. He doesn't have madd knife-throwing skillz, though. And Mal isn't really Roy, though I can definitely see them as inter-universe BFF.

Speaking of which, remember how Mal/Hawkeye was CFUD canon many moons ago, sort of? Yeah, I get it now. Adorable.

That thing where Zoe ( episode 6 non-spoiler )

? That was badass. Don't know why I chose that particular moment to pick on, other than it being the only time I said "That was badass!" out loud.

Going to bed now. Can feel self losing coherence. Urg.

I don't think anyone who pays any attention to this journal should have trouble comprehending just how much I love this. Hint: it involves people talking about Hawkeye being awesome. I love it when people agree with me. And meta. Copious, copious meta.
