Last post from Freiburg!

My Musikwissenschaft professor totally wasn't in his office today. Yay, he'll have to go through two additional entities to get me my grade, just like everyone else! However, in my Kafka class today (in which I turned in my final Hausarbeit, so as soon as I'm done with this entry I'm going to go home and get ready for a celebratory drink or five), I got outed as an American when my professor got onto something about society and ethnocentricism and was all, "I hate these Americans..." and I kinda cringed because I knew she was going to make a big deal out of apologizing when she remembered I was sitting right there, which she did. But that is a pretty standard attitude towards Americans here, so I wasn't hurt or anything, especially since by definition it doesn't even apply to me or anyone else who spends any length of time going to classes at a foreign university.

So tonight's my last night in Freiburg, which means this will be the last anybody hears from me until...let's say maybe Sunday. I won't be home until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday because to get the good airfare I had to book flights requiring a twelve-hour layover in Washington, and then I'll need time to read Harry Potter, duh. Speaking of which, I hope everyone has a lovely time reading it, and I will be back online soon! Tschüs!
