If FMA were shoujo, and other tidbits
Feb. 17th, 2005 08:41 pm1. If FMA were shoujo, there would be a lot more pictures like the one I just used to make this icon:

As it is, we'll have to settle for just the one. (It can also be found by going here and clicking on the link for page 22.)
2. Barnes & Noble is cool sometimes. Their Mall of America store recently doubled the size of their manga section, which is pretty cool in itself. They also started carrying hardcover editions of Hellsing and Trigun (which, for some reason, are cheaper than the paperback versions). I'm still not planning on buying them, but...dude. Hardcover manga.
But what this tidbit is really about is that Barnes & Noble now carries Kizuna. Kizuna! *impressed!!*
3. My brother has been grounded, probably indefinitely, for being a dumbass extraordinaire. Woohoo! No more "Dianaaaaa, can you shuttle me all over the goddamn Twin Cities so I can get high with my lowlife stoner friends?" Although he did try to get me to do just that today, before he knew I knew he was grounded.
4. New rule: never slack off on checking school e-mail, even when you're not there, because the two days you don't check it will be the two days you get fifty e-mails that you actually want to read. Remember that informational packet I got from IES that had everybody's names and addresses? Well, it also had e-mail addresses, so now everyone's getting in touch with each other about where we're all living in Freiburg, meeting up at airports and so on. Apparently, there are at least two other people who are getting into Frankfurt at 5:30 a.m., one of whom is on my flight, so we're going to hook up then and then a bit later meet a bunch of other people to take the train to Freiburg. Yay!
Although...I won't go into the details of my irrational neuroses, but this is all making me feel simultaneously better and worse, if that makes sense. More in control, but also more "holy crap this is actually going to happen. In less than a week".
In conclusion, cousins.
