logicbuttonThis has got to be a first. I've actually managed to spend the last several hours working seriously on homework that isn't even due tomorrow.
And now I've wrecked it.
But the point is I was doing it. And now I know it's possible.
On another note, I was looking up a word in my German dictionary and noticed "asbestos" at the bottom of the page. As you might guess, this led to a tangent that took up a good half hour or so: one minute to translate, twenty-nine to put the translation in my AIM profile and on the message board outside my door. Here are the fruits of my labor:

I chose "Asbest" over the other option, "Amiant," because it's a better cognate and also appeared to be more what I was looking for. And, of course, there is no direct translation in German of "asbestos bag".
I put masking tape over my box of Tide to keep it closed while it's in storage for the summer. It was sad. Well, not really. But it seemed odd to be putting away my laundry detergent, and going through my toiletry hatbox figuring out what exactly I'm going to need before I get home.
Continuing in the school-retrospective vein, I think I'll list some end-of-the-year stats.
1. Credits: 37
2. Flute Solos: 2 performed
3. All-nighters: 0 (score!), though exam week is still 11 days off, so we'll see
4. Waffle Houses visited: 1
5. Pints of Ben&Jerry's Vanilla Heath Bar Crunch consumed: at least 20
6. Advil consumed: 32
7. Sweet potatoes consumed: 5 (up 5 from my previous lifetime tally)
8. Grits consumed: not a lot...but still too much
9. Cliques formed: yes
10. High-schoolish cliquey cattiness: minimal
11. Roommates who act like cats: 1
12. Hot Actor Too Old For My Friends and Me movie nights: 3
13. Visits to Georgia Tech: 0
14: Boyfriends: 0
15: Interaction with males besides professors, kitchen and maintenance staff, friends' boyfriends, and people from home: none
16: Quality writing read on fanfiction.net: 10%
17: Ant problems: yes
18: Friends who hate math: all
19: The exception: Heather
20: Maturity gained: it's not impossible
