Hot Topic saves the day!

logicbuttonOkay, any and all doubts I may have had about an impending asbestos revolution flew out the window today when I found asbestos shoes at DSW.
They didn't have them in anything even close to my size, unfortunately. So I did the obvious thing and started combing the mall for asbestos shoes elsewhere. Payless didn't have them, and neither did Famous Footwear (where I went against my better judgment, as all the shoes I've ever bought there have met gruesome ends for some reason). The next place I looked was Nordstrom, because even though anything they might have would probably be too expensive for an impulse buy, the shoes just being at a shoe-trend-conscious store like that would feel like concrete proof that the Asbestos Revolution was indeed not just a hallucination. Nordstrom didn't have them. Shame on you, Nordstrom, you trend-lagger sheep. Anyway, there was just one more place I wanted to check. My exact thoughts were, "If Hot Topic doesn't have them, no one will."
And that is how I came to find my brand-new asbestos maryjanes, which will be included in the Asbestos Collection photo that will be taken as soon as the asbestos backrest is finished.
On the way home, I started cackling maniacally with no ironic intent whatsoever. The Asbestos Revolution is indeed producing some interesting side effects.
