Rowling's eye, my friends and I predicted that the only way Snape could survive the series would be if literally everyone else died. In that scenario, the last two books would be called Harry Potter and the Final Battle and Severus Snape and the Graveyard at Hogwarts.
This penultimate chapter of FMA is called "The Final Battle."
I like how this chapter starts with Hawkeye. Frankly, I think everything should start and end with Hawkeye.

Who do you think that is with a cigarette, catching Breda's and Fury's attention? :D And Armstrong's really getting into it; she's even sparkling. And Armstrong (Alex) has Black Hayate on his shoulder! And Roy looks like he can see. OMG look at the upper right corner! Who do you think that is there in the green, waving around pictures of a certain little girl? Eee!
Aww, nobody needs Armstrong and she doesn't know how to handle that. It's actually sort of adorable.
Wait a second! Was Father's body seriously Ed's height? Oh, wait, Ed grew, though, didn't he? Even so, Father's obsession with looking just like Ed and Hohenheim is hilarious.
Ummm, is Scar okay? He doesn't look so hot.
Uh, what about Hohenheim? What's up with him?
"Target the man who RESEMBLES the Fullmetal Alchemist!" LOL. No, not that one!
Roy and Hawkeye are a sexy smoky flaming fighting machine!
I love how Roy's all, "Oh, clappy alchemy, such a bother, I must say."
Ling, I get that you're trying to mess with Greed and that's cool, but maybe now is not the time. And also, I feel like regardless of whatever squishy feelings Greed might possess, he really is literally the embodiment of avarice and maybe you should give him the benefit of the doubt when he says he is motivated by that.
Aaaaggh that cable thing in Ed's bicep looks so painful.
I realize that this is not the time to be thinking about this, but it is so obvious that Mei and Al are being set up as love interests.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! The chanting begins, softly at first, but gradually it swells until soon the entire chamber is ringing with the voices calling "Edward! Edward Elric!"
