Feminism fail. :(

I was reading the newspaper advice columns at my parents' house today, and the contract bridge column caught my eye. If you're not familiar with these columns, they're basically works of fiction written around interesting bridge plays. It's probably positively scintillating if you're into that kind of thing. Anyway, I don't remember the exact wording, but I think it was pretty close to this:

Cy, the cynic in our group, got up to go to the lounge. When he returned, he was carrying a beer. Wendy, our club's feminist, glared at him.
"Sometimes a man just needs a beer," he said.

Guys, this really upset me. All these years, I believed I was a feminist, and now I find out that every time I have ever opened a Pilsner Urquell, I have actually been participating in the systematic oppression of my own gender. I am so sorry.
