A couple of things

I actually saw one of those Republicans for Voldemort bumper stickers on a car today. I mean, I knew they were real bumper stickers that could really be purchased, but it's always surreal to see things in real life that were previously consigned to the internet.

A week ago, I brought the Christmas presents for my parents and brother to my parents' house so that I wouldn't have to bring them over on the 24th. I was carrying my brother's present, which is in a pretty big box, through the door, and my hand brushed a little too hard against the doorframe and my ring took some of the skin on my finger off. Then, a few days ago, I was using scissors to curl the ribbon on the presents I was wrapping, and gave myself a nice deep cut on the same finger that I had scraped. Then tonight, my friend Christina was over and we were making cookies. I was about to put the first batch in the oven, but the heat from the oven had transferred to the top of the stove, which transferred to the cookie sheet sitting on top of it, and I burned the exact same finger. I feel the logical next step is for something to happen to chop that finger off entirely, but the way things are going, it might be for the best.
