Lots of things
Oct. 29th, 2008 09:22 pmSo the internet tells me that liking Wii Music means you have a small penis. Good thing my nice TV makes me secure in my penis size, because I love it to bits. Guys, I know Wii Music is cool to hate on, but you really get what you put into it. There is a video of a flute choir consisting entirely of me playing the Mario theme on top of a giant cake. There is another video of me playing the Zelda theme for solo harp while floating through space. This year, I will finally be able to immortalize a performance by the Frenzy Family Christmas Orchestra in Mii form. This game is awesome.
There is a lot of pumpkin in my apartment right now. Pumpkin pie, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin hand soap, pumpkin room spray...
I'm doing this volunteer thing through my work, where we go to a nearby elementary school in the middle of the day and have third-graders read to us. The two little girls I'm paired with are ridiculously adorable, and were very impressed when I told them that not only had I gone to their school when I was their age, but that their teacher had been my teacher when I was in first grade. It was pretty neat, actually; when I saw her name on the list, I tried to imagine what she must look like now, but the only clear picture I could get in my head looked like a yearbook picture, and was based mostly on her hair, which I figured had probably changed in the eighteen years since she taught me. But when I saw her today (last week was the first session, and the kids had a sub that day), I recognized her instantly.
