(no subject)

gweniveeve's official speculation on the e-mail sent to the campus community shortly after midnight ("Join us at 10 today on the science quad to hear a special announcement regardng MBB's legacy!") is that they're naming the science center after her. The MBB Science Center, or something. I guess we'll see soon enough; or rather, everyone else will, since I'll be in my flute lesson at the time.

Even though I lost my cell phone tonight (and am heartbroken about it; I hope I don't actually have to tell you guys how much I want it back, if you do happen to come across it or hear that someone else has), having Senior Happy Hour on the quad halfway between the Goblet of Fire showing and the protest against Phyllis Schlafly's speech may have been the best idea ever. Beer + protests + Harry Potter = Win.

Now, on to what this post is REALLY about:

octopedingenue is the best. You may have thought someone else was the best, and I'm sure they're lovely, and I'm sorry, but you're wrong. It's octopedingenue.

Also, I seem to have pulled off a B+ in my Topology special study. Not bad, considering what a terrible independent learner I've turned out to be. But what I have learned, I've got down pretty well, so it's a grade that both my professor and I are comfortable with.
