FMA episode 1 (!!)
Apr. 8th, 2009 08:08 pmTook me long enough to find a version I could actually watch. It might be time to buy a new computer. (Not that I will until I accidentally spill an entire water bottle in it, of course.)
Bad!
--Everybody's necks were missing, and I miss Roy's old VA. He had a sexy voice.
--While I normally wouldn't complain about Hawkeye getting lines or using them to smack down Roy, I wish she would find a different tack. He's USELESS in the RAIN, we GET it.
Neutral!
--Watching this was so surreal. It was like when you accidentally go back in time and step on a bug and come back and people are wearing hats on their feet. And are missing their necks.
Good!
--The number of dead birds in this episode was refreshingly low.
--Armstrong's little stone heads were pretty sweet.
--I liked the music. I look forward to hearing more of it.
--The Ice Alchemist was a surprisingly compelling antagonist.
--Lots of plot right away; I approve.
Verdict: Optimistic!
ETA: Oh, and the closing sequence! I loved the closing sequence! That was a "good."
