Death Note dub!
Nov. 3rd, 2007 11:25 pmI finally got to catch an episode of Death Note!
...
...It could grow on me.
I LOVE L's voice, though. Like, a lot. And I love that they're keeping the translation minimal: subtitling the Japanese text rather than editing it, and pronouncing names like they're Japanese (or attempting to, at the very least), and just overall acknowledging that the story takes place in Japan so there's no need to pretend otherwise. And I love Death Note.
Seriously, L's guy is perfect. I've noticed that others have said good things about Light; I don't really have anything to say about that, because this episode wasn't nearly as much of a showcase for him as episode 1 must have been, and I haven't seen that, so.
I hope they use the second opening sequence when the time comes. I love that thing.
