FMA 78
Anyone out there still keep up with the FMA manga?
Anyone?
Just me then?
...Okay. Well, then, this post will be for me.
The latest chapters have been kind of slow, yeah, which is definitely something I would attribute to the dearth of blonde women doing badass things with deadly weapons. However! This chapter did have several of the Mustang-tachi, which is pretty much sufficient to get my attention. Just, augh, did it have to end with me fearing for Fury's LIFE? GAH. Please pull through, Fury! (I'm still not ready to call him Fuery, no matter how many times I see it in print. Eventually, I probably will be. But not yet.) This, and all that crap awhile back with Hawkeye and Pride, is EXACTLY the kind of thing that scares the hell out of me. What if one of them dies? What if more than one of them dies? I've been worried about Hawkeye for, what, like a year now? I, oh man, I dunno. If she gets herself killed, damn. I just. Yeah. But anyway, Fury's the one I'm worried about at present. Also, I miss Havoc. I wonder how he's doing. I wonder when he's going to show up next, and if he'll survive it. Hell, I'm worried about ROY, and I know he'll be around for awhile at least. Or, oh God, did I just jinx him? Oh crap. Crappity crap crap. Can't think about this anymore, or I'll go nuts.
So it turns out Ed's alive. GEE I SURE DIDN'T SEE THAT ONE COMING. The cliffhangers have been pretty lame lately. He'd better have some kind of lasting injury, at least, for all our trouble. In related news, Kimblee is a boring villain. He's a made-for-TV villain. He's a straight-to-video villain. He wants to be an epic villain, but falls just short of the mark. I'm glad the homunculi are going to be showing up again soon. Now THERE'S some epic villainy. You can tell because of that pose Envy is doing on Bradley's desk, and the expression on Bradley's face. Seriously, what the hell, Envy.
There needs to be a new Lust. On the other hand, there doesn't need to be a new Lust, because I can think of three women off the top of my head who I do NOT want to be turned into Lust. Actually, this is what I'm REALLY worried about for Hawkeye and Winry in particular, especially now that Hawkeye knows Pride's identity and Winry is caught up in Kimblee's web of made-for-TV villainy that is nevertheless fairly strong and extensive. Honestly, I'd rather have Hawkeye die. God, I hope I didn't just jinx her either way.
