You guys, I am geeking out so hard to these Phoenix Wright orchestral arrangements. You should seriously see me. And I've also seen (and downloaded some of) the sheet music, which totally makes me want to get together a con-going flute choir. I'm actually not entirely joking about this, although the odds of finding enough local flute-playing Phoenix Wright enthusiasts (though technically I suppose it could be multi-fandom; in high school my orchestra played an arrangement of Mario and Zelda music) willing to perform at a con seem a touch low, especially since we would also need alto and bass flutes. And a conductor, because I would want to play!
I would definitely cosplay as Mia if it actually happened, though. Just saying.
Also, a paradox! For a given value of paradox. I've found, when listening to my iPod at work, that I am more willing to tell curious people that I'm listening to an orchestral arrangement of video game music than I am to say that I'm listening to an anime soundtrack. Even though, in my mind, the anime soundtrack is far less dorky. I think it's because I know I definitely won't have to define the term "video game" for anyone. But still.
ETA: Just another thought--is it kind of weird for me to be thinking that I would have relatively little trouble getting together a con flute choir with basses and altos if I were still living in Atlanta? Not at all? Good.
