Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

As per my movie theater's awesomeness, I saw it last night. In English.

And I really, really enjoyed it, except for the weird romantic subplot. They barely knew each other! Sure, I guess you form a bond with someone when you have those sorts of adventures with them, and there's that whole last-man-and-woman-alive thing, but they were talking like it was some deep soul connection, and dude, no. Also, the homoerotic subtext was a bit underdeveloped. It got my hopes up a couple of times, but in the end amounted to sadly little. But otherwise, I loved it. Alan Rickman was brilliant as Marvin; that shouldn't have been a surprise, but it was.

Knitted dolls should totally be used more often as a cinematic technique. Hilarious and ingenious.

The other thing that really stood out for me was Earth Mach 2, which was just gorgeous to an extent that I can't even describe its gorgeousness. Just, yeah, overall it was great.
