I came out of the game Blackquill/Fulbright as well. I don't get the appeal of Cykesquill. Perhaps it's because there aren't many big het ships in AA that it's so popular. They do seem too much like siblings to me. I get Metis/Simon much more and I prefer that idea but I suppose it's tough shipping someone who's dead. Most people would rather not. That probably also stops the Clay/Apollo ship taking flight hugely.
I got a very strong Apollo/Phoenix feeling from the DLC episode. Albeit one in which Phoenix treats Apollo pretty terribly, blows hot and cold and bosses him around. The same way that he did in AJ, when I started feeling it.
I prefer when I play as Apollo to when I play as Phoenix. Apollo was so sarky in the second episode! I loved it. He always had a little dry wit before but he was younger and more naive.
I don't ship Athena with anyone. I like that she's such a strong character that it's not necessary for me. I was surprised how much I liked her.
DD was my least favourite game so far. But it's still an Ace Attorney game, so it ranks pretty high.
DD gameplay was easier. Although I think that just playing these games makes it seems easier through familiarity. I'm finishing the end of Trials & Tribulations right now and I'm finding it the easiest game of all.
I appreciated in DD in cross-examination that I could see which statement I was at out of how many. Simple yet so helpful. And being able to read past text I'd skipped through. Little things like that were very player-friendly and showed how carefully it had been thought through.
