Just another morning at work
Three-day weekend in only six and a half hours.
According to the calendar of world cultural events I have in my cubicle (and how I'll fit all those cultural events in my cubicle, I'll never know), there are quite a lot of national and independence days in the month of July. Today is just the 45th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act--happy birthday, Civil Rights Act!--but yesterday was Canada Day, and Ghana's and Somalia's Republic Day, and Burundi's and Rwanda's Independence Day. I guess the first of the month is a popular choice, because there's only one tomorrow (Belarus), and only the one on Saturday.
I had so much leftover cherry frosting from my dad's birthday cake that I made chocolate cookies just to put the frosting on. They are made of insanity. But it's a delicious insanity.
