Cherry chocolate
It's become increasingly obvious with every time I make a cake and it doesn't quite match the image in my head that I'm never going to be any kind of expert at this, but I think my dad's birthday cake turned out pretty well.
Everything in it contains cherry Schnapps. Except the cherries, I guess. And the chocolate chips. I'm going to have to make cookies or something to use up the, like, three quarters of a batch of leftover cherry frosting, which is even more cherryrific now that I've mixed the leftover maraschino cherry juice into it. Oh, here, have a blurry picture of the leftover chocolate glaze. I should have put more Schnapps in it. For future reference, if it seems like enough Schnapps, it's not.
