CAKE.
So, as I mentioned earlier, I took a cake decorating class.
Here are the two layers of cake stacked on top of each other. Notice the wide margin between the edge of the cake and the edge of the pan--watch it get smaller and finally disappear as I put more frosting on.

Liberal application of frosting is important.

I decided that the cake was going to be for Women's Day, which was yesterday. Of course, that meant the basket had to be pink.

The roses were pink too. It turns out that leaves are excellent for covering up mistakes.

And one more. I took the cake to my grandma's afterwards. Between the two of us and my uncle, who showed up about an hour after I did, we got through only about a quarter of the cake, so I took it to work today. Now I'm down to just one piece. :)
