L equals Inuyasha

Okay, are these the real ones, then?

The guy playing Light doesn't have a particularly long resume, but then, he is only five months older than me. Much like it did for Travis Willingham, this fact interests me, though, sadly, Wikipedia has no picture, so I can't tell whether he's hot or not. I've never seen anything he's been in--those of you who have, do you think he'll be any good?

The guy playing L is apparently rather experienced as a voice actor and has a long list of projects under his belt. Most of these are characters I've never heard of in series that I have heard of. Um...he played male Ranma? I've never seen an episode of Ranma 1/2, though. I have seen several episodes of Inuyasha, in which he played Inuyasha, but I really can't remember much about the voice. Mostly I just remember that audio clip of Inuyasha and Koga calling each other "baka". And I'm kind of having a hard time keeping straight which one was which. Hm. Unless he does something totally different here, L isn't going to sound like I imagined at all. Anyway, he also plays Usopp in One Piece, a series that I will never be able to watch or read, because of Usopp, interestingly enough.*

Yeah, I'm kind of hoping these are the real ones, because I don't want to have to make yet another post on Death Note VAs. But, hey, it looks like there's just a little over a month to go!

*Okay, I know it's not polite to be repulsed by fictional characters based on their looks, but Usopp reminds me FAR TOO MUCH of Petruschka, as depicted in a book of illustrated fairy tales I had as a kid. You might be surprised to learn that the idea of the vengeful ghost of a marionette was a bit off-putting to little me. I couldn't find a picture of Petruschka from that book to link to here, but basically, he was Usopp with ruddier cheeks. And that is why I avoid One Piece.
