I think my mom is concerned that I worry too much about money. Also that I don't go out and have enough fun, which I think is the reason she just gave me a hundred dollars with stern instructions to use it on something "truly fun".

She might be right on both counts. I have no idea how to spend it. Hookers and blow just seems too cliche, you know?

Well, actually, I do have one idea. But I will just have to think of something else, because in spite of the fact that I have Friday off from work and only one potential class, which is at 9, you people will not be getting me to go to Dragon*Con. I am serious about this. I have angsted way too hard over not going when, like, everybody I know is. (octopedingenue, I know you will read this and think no means yes. While I appreciate the gesture, it does not. Stop browbeating me in advance.)

Perhaps I will spend the hundred dollars on beer. I do enjoy beer. Or maybe I should get that tattoo I've been wanting; that'll show my parents to give me money.
