What I Did Today
In celebration of turning in my last piece of work for the semester just hours after getting a job that will pay me money, I did a little shopping at the bookstore today. The selection of ASC Alumna stuff was surprisingly limited (I thought they used to have a lot more?) but I did get a car window sticker and a t-shirt, and a shot glass that doesn't have the word alumna on it but was pretty anyway.
Also, after I took the drug test for the job, I got to learn about Atlanta. Why don't I know how to get home from downtown yet? Sure, I only do it about once a year or so, but it's not that hard. Ah well. Even just making navigational decisions by turning onto streets whose names I recognized got me home in about half an hour, which is about as much time as it probably would have taken me even with the map (conveniently located in the apartment at the time). So.
Oh, and I also learned an important lesson about keeping singles and quarters on my person at all times, in case I ever need to pay for parking and there's no attendant and all I have in my wallet are twenties. (It worked out. I didn't end up paying $20 to park for an hour.)
