logicbutton | Firefly episode 13

It's pretty established at this point that the format of every reaction post I make falls into one of a few categories. When I don't like what I've just seen or read, or just don't feel that it's lived up to my expectations, it's easy to write a snarky bitch review, especially if I'd specifically been hoping for something much better (the Prisoner of Azkaban movie comes to mind). When I'm ambivalent, I can compare what worked and what didn't. If I loved it, sometimes I've got a big long list of things to praise, and sometimes just a "SQUEE!" will do. My lamest posts, though, are inevitably in reaction to things like episode 13 of Firefly (Heart of Gold). No matter what I finally do get out, I always feel as though I haven't really said anything of substance, partly because I don't believe I could do it justice, and partly because I'm still so touched that I'm hardly coherent. I couldn't even pinpoint what got me about this episode.

I'll say one thing, though; I really, really want to give Inara a hug. A lot.
