Chibi OVA translated!

A translation of the FMA chibi OVA.

I don't think anyone who pays any attention to this journal should have trouble comprehending just how much I love this. Hint: it involves people talking about Hawkeye being awesome. I love it when people agree with me. And meta. Copious, copious meta.

A whole bunch of guys in movie armor walk out of a warehouse past Roy and Hawkeye, discussing what a bitch work is. Everybody spends the first scene talking about how Hawkeye should have had more screen time in the movie. Roy tries to make excuses. Hawkeye is having none of it. The armor guys seem to think that having so little of her was a bad business move.

Envy shows up at the cast after-party (where Hughes is gushing about Elysia and Ross is whistling at Breda, who is stripping for Fury's camera) and gets all puppy-eyed at Ed, trying to make him feel guilty for killing him. Hawkeye interrupts, wearing a pink dress and holding a microphone, to announce that it's time to rant about the movie. Most of the cast gets in a huge scuffle over who will get to go first. Ed and Al worry about what they're going to say, since nobody else was allowed input on what would happen in the movie. They try to charge the crowd of people, but Hawkeye sics an army of Black Hayates on them. While she congratulates the dogs on a job well done, Breda (still wearing his Speedo) and Falman wonder where they all came from. Hawkeye suspiciously declines to answer.

Hawkeye, who is suddenly back in her uniform, calls for order. Everybody is eager for their turn to rant, but Hawkeye decides to go first. She says she has something to say about the movie's treatment of her relationship with the Colonel. Roy, who has been sulking in the corner, springs to life and sparkles about how terrible it is that their beautiful romance was not given the attention it so richly deserved. Hawkeye proceeds to break up with him in front of the entire cast, saying that she was happy with the movie, because she didn't like the way the anime ended, and that she is going to pursue happiness elsewhere. Roy turns blue and shatters into little bits, while everybody else sits in shock for a second before cheering like mad. Ed snickers loudly. Havoc procures a bouquet of roses. Fury takes pictures.

A couple of armor people rant about having to be extras, jumping out to reveal themselves as Scar and Lust wearing matching tracksuits. Gluttony takes that moment to show up in all his movie splendor. Scar tears the scar off his own face and throws it at Gluttony. Gluttony, who does not appreciate having throwing stars lodged in his forehead, eats them both, as Hawkeye pulls out two guns and points them menacingly at him. Ed invites Gluttony to take off his costume. Gluttony says it isn't a costume. Meanwhile, Hawkeye is now sitting on the ground, obliviously cuddling with Black Hayate.

Envy attempts to interview the group of people sitting at the table of characters who died during the movie, but they are suspiciously silent. Ed is thrilled to see Heiderich sitting there, and believes for a minute that Heiderich is actually talking back to him, but it turns out it's just Al bitching about Ed leaving the house without doing the dishes and using the universe-hopping as an excuse to be a whiny emo dumbass about it.

Winry is drunk and angry. Ed and Al play dumb when they learn that she knows about Noa, but they also act guilty when her suspicions about Noa's relationship with Ed come to light, which does not help their case when she pulls out a screencap of Noa leaning over Ed in his bed. Ed tries to explain that nothing happened, but Winry isn't interested in hearing it, so she pulls out a number of sharp tools. Chaos ensues. Ed begs Gluttony to eat him. Roy asks what's going on. Gluttony awwws at the chibi. The end.
